Things I have been busy at.

I thought I would share what I have been busy at these past few years, other than working, family and building memories with my grandchildren.

This is one of my oil paintings that I did awhile back, just love it!  I have done a few more, but they have found new homes to live in.  It is my angel of peace.

These are some of the quilts that I have been busy at:
This was a strip kit from my Guild and I completed it to be donated for the seniors building in the city.

This quilt, finally top done, took a few years off and on working on it. I was so lucky to win this whole kit at my Guild's Christmas Banquet.  It is called Christmas in Killarney, very small pieces and lots of flying geese, half square triangles.  This is for a King size bed.  I just love it, the colors fit perfectly in my bedroom, now to just get it sandwhiched and quilted.

The two top little wall hangings were done using different techneques and once they were completed I donated them to our Guild's Quilt show sale.

Wow, it has been a very long time since my last post.
Lots has happened, finished College, started working as a secretary right after, or should I call it now, customer service associate. I have now 6 grandchildren, two were born the year of my last blog and one more little guy was added this year.  I have 5 grandboys and 1 grandgirl.

I am no longer working as a secretary, but working seasonal work at a local Lodge in their store by the lake.  I just love it, get my winters off and try to do some sewing and quilting.

This photo is special because I remember this perfume when I was younger, my grandmother from
Germany would always bring or send it to me, she has since passed away and I found it in a little store in the city and just had to buy it.  When I get lonely and think of my homeland, I just open it and smell that sweet smell from the bottle.  He makes my heart skip a beat!

Table runner

Well I am surprised as to what I am actually doing this past winter, I thought it was not too much but by the looks at my posts and pictures, I have been busy..hahah..

This is the table runner that I completed a few weeks ago. I love the middle square with my angels/ the colors I just love. This was fast and easy to do, and once I started..I had so much fun I kept on going until it was finished..YEA

Quilt as you go..

This is a great way to use up little pieces of material, I wanted to make mine consistant in color, but a mixture of colors would be great also. I just have to label it and it will be on its way to my granddaughter's bed. I added the yo-yo as a different touch, I really liked the outcome.
This was done by machine and by hand.

Beaded Necklace and Bracelet

Here are my two completed items after taking a jewerly class. The necklace is beaded with black and deep purple beads, and the bracelet is with shades of black/grey/clear swarorski crystals. Right now I am working on a two technique necklace, it is crotched beaded rope/and viking knit. That necklace is not finished yet...

Beading Embellishing

This is the result of my beading embellishing class that I took. It is filled with a lovely sent of cedar/lavendar and essential oils.

Gabriel's quilted jacket

I almost forgot about my grandson's quilted jacket I completed in the new year. This is Gabriel's jacket and he loves Thomas the train anything,..It is quilted free motion and I embroidered the all aboard log and conductor design with my embroidery machine. He loves it!
