Its been a long while

Well, well..I can not believe it is not 2011, and it has been so long that I forgot my password.

My creative surges are very short these past few years since I graduated from College, with working all week, it leaves only weekends for some fun/or down time, but housework and family are first and then creative time is last on the list..but I would like to add, I have been doing a few things.

I took a short little class, a few hours on beading embelishing and loved it.

I started a quilt as you go last fall. It was a Saturday class, and I have finished that also. I just have to add a label to the back of the quilt. My granddaughter will be the owner of this one. I plan to make one for each of my five grandchildren.

I have done a few beading classes, and enjoyed that also.

Hopefully it will not be so long until the next time I blog..sonja

New to Blogging

Hello All,

This is my first attempt to blog on the net. After seeing my friend Debbe starting one, I thought I would give it a try. It most likely will take some time for me to get set up properly, due to the fact, at my age, I went back to College. That takes all my time, but there is sunshine at the end of the road in April..I Will Be Done! Looking forward to trying new things after then.

A bit about myself..

I love to do creative things with my hands, sculpting, carving, sewing, embroidery , folk art and oils. Recently I just started weaving and rug hooking-which I really like.

Married for 35 years and have two children and three grandchildren and will be blessed with two more this May.
I live in Northern Ontario, city called Sudbury, but owned a Picture Framing store in southern Ontario for ten years in a little town of Norwood. I loved doing that, but my ties to my family in the north was calling and I wanted to be back to my grandchildren.
So here I am..at an age with experience but lack the education which most jobs request. Therefor my next experience is College..
